Welcome to the park

We built our community dog park as a place where dog owners (and dogs) can make new friends.

We acknowledge the special role our pets have in our families and see our love of our animals as a way to connect. We believe that God made human beings to be in a relationship with one another. In our technologically infused culture, it’s easy to become distant with one another, so we value face-to-face relationships.

The dog park is a place where you can meet people with shared interests and make some new friends.

Park guidance

The park is open from dawn to dusk, Monday through Saturday and noon to dusk, Sundays.  Volunteers keep it safe, clean and welcoming. If you're new to the park, feel free to ask other dog owners for help if you're not sure how to best integrate your dog. The park but relies on the goodwill and good sense of those who use it.

There is no charge to use the park. However, donations help defer costs. There's a donation box at the entrance to the park.

DogFest.png

Every year we host DogFest, which is a celebration of dogs and their owners. Enjoy six hours of fun with your dog as well as other owners and their pups! DogFest includes a bunch of ‘paws on’ activities for everyone. The event features the latest products and services for your dog, demonstrations, contests, races, prizes, and much more!

Paws for Prayer Path

This approximately one-mile path begins outside the dog park and continues around the church grounds.  Park benches on the route provide a place for rest and reflection.

Arise Dog Park included in article

The Arise Dog Park was included in an article in RNS (Religious News Service). An RNS reporter interviewed Sue Kazusky, the dog park coordinator, along with Pastor Jonathan Vitale and Mary Ellen Mohn, communications coordinator.

Blessing of the pets

We celebrate the special role our pets have in our families during the Blessing of the Pets. It takes place during a regularly scheduled service at 10 a.m., the last Sunday of June.

You're invited to bring your pet or a photo of your pet to participate in this special time with family, friends and our four-footed and scaly friends.
