Our new curriculum "All in One Sunday School," is a great resource for smaller church’s teaching children of mixed ages. It teaches interactive stories from the bible that are engaging and easy to understand; thus, children are equipped to use what they’ve learned in everyday life. The first lesson is called "Caring for God’s World."
"Mrs. Barb", has been teaching Sunday school at Arise from the beginning. Barb and her husband Greg have no children of their own, but are godparents and Auntie and Uncle to many. They also have two cats, Fuzzy Butt and Squirrely Pants. Barb works at the University of Michigan as an Admin Assistant in the Department of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health. She loves traveling, camping, canoeing, reading, genealogy, and listening to live music. She graduated from Adrian College where she studied history, literature, art and education.
Jen's fondest childhood memories are those from Sunday school and Methodist Youth Fellowship at Clarenceville United Methodist Church in Livonia. As soon as she graduated from high school, she began teaching Sunday school at West Outer Drive United Methodist in Detroit, where her dad was Pastor. Working with children, especially focusing on their Christian education, is her passion. She and her high school sweetheart, Rob, are raising their two children, Wilson (16) and Myles (14), with the hopes that their fondest memories will be of Arise United Methodist Church. God is good--all the time.
